Bhubaneswar: Winter seems to be over for the people of Odisha, as the mercury has been rising gradually across the state. While the minimum temperatures (night temperatures) in most areas of the state were above 20°C during the last 24 hours, the day temperature soared to as high as 34.5°C in Titlagarh on Monday.
Titlagarh was followed by Bhawanipatna which recorded a maximum temperature of 34.2°C, while Paralakhemundi recorded 32°C. The day temperature in Bhubaneswar was 32.9°C.
According to the regional office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here, the night temperatures recorded at different cities in the state during the last 24 hours are as below:
- Puri: 24°C
- Paradip: 23.6°C
- Kendrapada: 22.4°C
- Gopalpur: 21.9°C
- Chandbali: 21.9°C
- Balasore: 21.7°C
- Bhubaneswar: 21.2°C
Meanwhile, dense fog occurred at several places in Odisha on Tuesday morning owing to the excessive amount of water vapour in the atmosphere.
The IMD predicted that the weather is likely to remain dry across the state, while shallow to dense fog is likely at many places for the next few days.
