Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths apprehended the headmaster of Kendrapara government high school for receiving bribe from a staff of the same school.
Headmaster Niranjan Ati was caught by the anti-graft officials while he was accepting Rs 5,000 from the staff of the school for facilitating the release of his second phase House loan.
The entire tainted bribe money has been recovered from exclusive possession of Ati and seized, vigilance said.
Following the successful trap, simultaneous searches are going on at four locations of the headmaster from DA angle.
In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance registered a case under section 7 PC Amendment Act, 2018. Investigation is in progress against the accused.
