Kalahandi Accident: CM Naveen Announces Rs 3 Lakh Ex-Gratia For Deceased’s Kin

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed deep grief over the death of two persons in a road accident in Dharamgarh of Kalahandi district. Expressing his deepest condolences to the bereaved families, the CM announced an ex-gratia of Rs 3 lakh each for the next of kin of the deceased.

Along with this, the Chief Minister directed to make proper treatment arrangements for the injured and wished them a speedy recovery.

Notably, two labourers were killed and several others critically injured after a pick-up van they were travelling in overturned near Dokaripada under Golamunda police limits in Kalahandi district on Sunday evening.

The injured people were admitted to Dharmagarh, Junagarh and Bhawanipatna hospitals.

Labourers were returning home from their workplace when the mishap occurred.

It was stated that the condition many injured persons was critical.
