Dense fog

Bhubaneswar: A thick blanket of fog enveloped twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar and several other places in Odisha on Sunday morning.

Traffic on the national highways, passing through the state capital and Cuttack witnessed restricted drive due to dense fog.

Visibility is limited between 200 meters to 500 meters which disrupts traffic on national highways. The IMD issued advisory over the fog condition.

The IMD predicted no chilly condition for the next 6-7 days due to the possibility of further rise in night temperature by 2 to 3 degrees in the next three days due to continuous vapor-rich warm air blowing from the Bay of Bengal region under the influence of the high pressure.

A warning has been issued to several districts due to the possibility of dense fog during early morning in coastal Odisha and neighboring districts, IMD stated.

The weather department also issued an alert for dense fog in coastal and interior pockets of the State.
