Bhubaneswar: A total of 5,60,000 students will appear for the High School Certificate (HSC) examinations (matric examination) in 3,047 centers in the state from Tuesday. The examination will continue till March 4.
The first paper on Tuesday will be MIL. The board has advised the students to reach the examination center 1.5 hours before the examination time. While the exams will begin at 9.00 am, the students will enter the examination hall at 7.30 am. The gate of the examination center will be closed at 8.15 am.
AI-based CCTV cameras have been installed at susceptible centers for the first time. To improve and reform the conduct of the examination, the examination centers will be under CCTV surveillance.
A command control room will be under the watch of 20 experts and the board authorities.
Dr Nihar Ranjan Mohanty, vice-president of the board, said that if malpractice or some untoward situation arises in any examination center, the command will come through the AI cameras.
