Mercury Dips To Below 35°C In Several Places In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: After two days of hot weather conditions, the mercury came down to below 35 degrees C in most of the places except Paralakhemundi which recorded 35.6 degrees C.

Titilagarh remained second in the row with 34.5 degrees C while Rayagada came next with 34.4 followed by Angul which reported 34.1 degrees C.

Mercury levels dipped to 34 degrees C each in Nuapada and Bhawanipatna.

State Capital Bhubaneswar, which witnessed a rise in the temperature for the last two days, experienced a dip in the mercury level with 32.8 degrees C.

Maximum day temperature in Cuttack settled at 32 degrees.

Weather scientist Umashankar Dash said that day temperature will not change significantly for the next 7 days

The temperature will come down as air flows from the sea to the land. Day temperature may decrease by 2 to 3 degrees and will remain unchanged at night.

Parts of north coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj are likely to experience light to moderate rain in the next 24 hours, he added.
