Dhenkanal: As many as 10 motorcycles were reduced to ashes in a fire which broke out at the Excise Office of Kamakhya Nagar in Dhenkanal on Tuesday night.
According to sources, the officials had gone for a raid when the fire broke out at the Excise office. Fire officials suspect that a short circuit could have sparked the blaze. While the vehicles were badly charred, no casualty has been reported.
Upon being informed, a fire tender was pressed into action to douse the flames. Fire brigade officials had a tough time in dousing the fire.
It is learnt that bikes that caught fire were seized by the department officials during raids and kept at the Excise office.
