Excise Sleuths Destroy Large Quantity Of Illicit Liquor In Cuttack

Bhubaneswar: The Excise sleuths today carried out raids in and around Viruda village under Tigiria Police Limits and Palakata & Dhegua village under Banki police station in Cuttack district on Wednesday

A total of 21,800 liters of fermented gur wash and 1960 liters of ID liquor and other distillation apparatus were recovered and destroyed during the crackdown which was conducted under the direct supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Excise, Cuttack.

A total of six absconded cases have been booked.

The raiding team consists of excise officials including Deputy Superintendent of Excise, Cuttack, IIC & SI, District mobile, Cuttack, OIC, Athagarh Excise Station, OIC of Banki Excise Station, OIC of Cuttack Sadar Excise Station, OIC, Cuttack Sadar-2 Excise Station.
