Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit the state in the first week of March to launch a few Central projects.
BJP’s co-in-charge for Odisha Lata Usendi informed it on Thursday.
On March 5, PM Modi is scheduled to address a public meeting at Chandikhol in Jajpur district and lay the foundation stone for several developmental projects.
It is learnt that PM Modi will launch a slew of projects including the strategic petroleum reserve (SPR) at Dankari near Chandikhole during his visit. Though the strategic petroleum reserve project was sanctioned in 2016, the project is yet to see the light of day owing to delay in the land acquisition process.
On February 3, the prime minister had last visited the state and inaugurated the permanent campus of Indian Institute of Management, Sambalpur apart from launching projects worth around Rs 70,000 crore. Modi had also flagged off Puri-Sonepur-Puri Weekly Express.
