Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu is set to attend the 25th convocation ceremony of Berhampur University as the chief guest on Friday.
As part of her four-day Odisha visit, the President will visit Berhampur to be part of the convocation of the Berhampur varsity. President will attend the convocation ceremony for 40 minutes. She will confer the doctorate, D.Litt and other degrees to the students and the researchers on this occasion.
As many as 43 students will be awarded Ph.D degrees while 35 toppers from different departments will be awarded Gold Medals during the ceremony.
According to sources, the university authorities have left no stone unturned for the smooth conduct of the programme which is being administered under the Governor and the Chancellor Sri Raghubar Das. The program will continue for 50 minutes beginning from 10:45 am to 11:35 am.
Meanwhile, the Ganjam district collector and officials from various departments of the varsity have reached the Rangeilunda airstrip to supervise the arrangements.
After Berhampur, the President will attend the Golden jubilee ceremony of Brahmakumari Ishwariya University in Cuttack.
President Murmu is scheduled to visit Sambalpur district and visit various places related to Santhakabi Bhimabhoi tomorrow.
