Youth Cong Activists Clash With Cops During Protest Rally In Odisha Capital

Bhubaneswar: A scuffle broke out between Youth Congress activists and the police on Friday when the former were prevented from marching towards Naveen Niwas, the official residence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

The Youth Congress activists reportedly hurled eggs and tomatoes at the police when they were prevented from marching towards Naveen Niwas. Several protestors were taken into custody by the police following the scuffle.

Hundreds of Youth Congress activists led by their national president BV Srinivas and other State leaders took out a massive rally to protest against large-scale unemployment and corruption in the State.

The activists were marching towards Naveen Niwas to gherao it when they were intercepted by the police near Raj Mahal Square.
