Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today increased the remuneration of Multilingual Education Volunteers from Rs.5,379 to Rs 10,000.

This apart, the CM has directed the concerned authorities to regularise the multilingual teachers in SC and ST Development, Minority community and Backward Classes Welfare Departments on the basis of merit.

The CM took such a decision after sympathetically considering their demands.

Multilingual Education Volunteers (MLE(EV)) have been deployed by the Department of Schools and Mass Education to attract tribal children towards education in the tribal-dominated districts in the State.

The education volunteers had drawn the attention of the 5-T Chairman Kartik Pandian during his visit to various districts.
