Phulbani: The body of Tusharendra Nayak, Assistant Executive Engineer, Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) Phulbani was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his official quarter at Nadikhandi Sahi on Saturday.
According to reports, as planned earlier Nayak was today supposed to go on field duty accompanied by another engineer.
As Nayak did not receive the concerned engineer’s phone call, the latter reached the former’s official quarter and was shocked to find Nayak’s body hanging from the ceiling fan.
On being informed, Phulbani Town police reached the spot and seized the body.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
Nayak who was on leave for around 20 days had joined duty on Friday.
