Puri: On the occasion of World Wildlife Day, renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has created a tiger sand sculpture during Tadoba Festival 2024 at Chandrapur district in Maharashtra on Sunday.
The 50ft long sand sculpture depicts wild animals and forest areas. He used about three tons of sand to complete the sculpture.
Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve posted on X “Friday night at the #TadobaFestival was buzzing with excitement! From engaging panel discussions and quizzes to captivating exhibitions and mesmerizing sand art by Sudarsan Pattnaik”.
Sudarshan created the art in a bid to create awareness about the importance of nature and the need to save wildlife and their habitat.

World Wildlife Day is an opportunity to celebrate the many beautiful and varied forms of wild fauna and flora and to raise awareness on benefits that their conservation provides to people, he said.
Sudarsan who has participated 100 national and International sand sculpture festivals around the World and won many prizes for India. He always tries to spread social messages through his sand art.
