Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a three-day visit to Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, West Bengal, and Bihar on Monday during which he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of projects worth more than Rs 1,10,600 crore.
“Over the next two days, I will be attending various programmes in Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, and West Bengal. The development works which will be inaugurated cover a wide range of sectors and will transform several lives,” PM Modi said in a post on X.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive in Odisha on Tuesday and address a public rally at Chandikhol in Jajpur district. At around 3:30 pm on Tuesday, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of multiple development projects worth over Rs 19,600 crore. These projects relate to sectors including oil & gas, railways, road, and atomic energy.
According to reports, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Ashwini Vaishnaw may attend the official event in Chandikhol.
Meanwhile, all arrangements for the Prime Minister’s Odisha visit have almost been completed. Security has been beefed up at the venue of his public meeting.
A total of 12 platoons of police force will be deployed for the Prime Minister’s visit. The airport has been kept in a high-security zone and a temporary helipad has been made in Jajpur. Acting DGP of Odisha, Arun Kumar Sarangi, has reviewed the security arrangements ahead of Modi’s visit to Odisha.
After reaching Bhubaneswar he will fly to Jajpur by helicopter. The SPG team has reached Jajpur and checked the security arrangements. Inspector General of Police, Central, Ashish Singh, and SP Jajpur are in charge of the security arrangements. A security parade and carcade rehearsed are scheduled for today.
