Odisha CM Announces 25% Hike In Remuneration For Outsourced Employees

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday announced a 25 per cent hike in remuneration for Outsourced Employees engaged in various government departments provided through Service Provider Agencies. The other measures announced by the Chief Minister include remuneration based on experience, grievance redressal, and timely payment, etc.

It is pertinent to mention here that these Outsourced employees had met 5T Chairman Kartik Pandian and had apprised him of their various problems. Accordingly, the State Government has taken the under-mentioned decisions.

  1. Their monthly remuneration increased by 25 per cent.
  2. Arrangements have been made to ensure that they get their remuneration at the end of the month on time.
  3. The Chief Minister has announced the formation of the Odisha State Outsourcing Employees Ombudsman to resolve various disputes between outsourcing employees and Service Provider Agencies.
  4. Employees with experience will be paid more remuneration. Rs 1,000 per month will be paid for every five years of experience.
  5. Female employees can avail 120 days of maternity leave up to the birth of their first two children.
  6. There will be nodal officers in each department to hear grievances of outsourced employees and Service Provider Agencies.
  1. A Software Application will be developed through GA&PG Department, CMGI to simplify their filing of grievances. Both employees and agencies can file their grievances.
  2. Outsourced employees who are currently receiving increased wages will be protected under the new system.

All departments will make supplementary agreements with Service Providing Agencies to manage all these systems in an orderly manner.
