Sundargarh: A youth was killed on the spot after a speeding car collided with his motorbike on the Biju Expressway near Sundargarh Sadar police limits on Sunday evening. The youth was trying to cross the road when the car hit him.
The deceased has been identified as Guru Munda, a resident of Mundapada.
According to reports, tension prevailed in the area as an angry mob staged a road blockade at the site of the accident and set the car on fire.
On being informed, police arrived at the accident site and tried to pacify the mob. The police have sent the youth’s body for postmortem and initiated a probe into the accident.
