Bhubaneswar: Here is another piece of good news for wildlife lovers, one Royal Bengal Tiger has been camera trapped in the Sundargarh district of Odisha almost after two decades.
The information has been shared by Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) (Wildlife) Susanta Nanda in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Nanda has informed that the Tiger Cell of NTCA has confirmed it to have migrated out of Sanjay Dubri Tiger Reserve.
Nanda while expressing his happiness and welcoming the big cat said that the tiger must have travelled a few hundred miles to carve out its new territory in Odisha.
Sanjay-Dubri Tiger Reserve is a wildlife paradise located in Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh.
A few days earlier, a black panther was camera-trapped in Garjanpahad Reserve Forest (RF) area of Hemgir forest after a gap of six years.
