Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will fight alone in all the 21 Lok Sabha and 147 Assembly seats in Odisha.
BJP State Unit president Manmohan Samal announced this in a post on X (formerly Twitter) today.
“Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will fight alone this time in all 21 Lok Sabha and 147 Assembly seats to create a developed India and a developed Odisha under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to fulfil the hope, expectation and aspiration of 4.5 crore Odiyas,” said Samal in his post on X.
Samal has thanked Naveen Patnaik-led Biju Janata Dal (BJD) of Odisha for supporting the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on many issues of national importance over the last 10 years.
He said that in the entire country in whichever State there is a double-engine government development and welfare of the poor has been accelerated and the concerned states are making progress in all areas.
The BJP State unit president pointed out that in Odisha today many of the welfare schemes of the Modi government are not reaching the grassroots level due to which the poor in Odisha are deprived of its benefits.
“We do not agree with the State government on several issues concerning Odia -pride, Odisha’s glory, and Odisha’s interest,” he added.
