Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance officials on Thursday apprehended a Revenue Supervisor in the Special Land Acquisition Office, Paradeep Ganesh Mallick and a private person Khirod Rath for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 4,000 from a complainant to process the file for facilitating land acquisition payment.
According to an official press release, Vigilance officials nabbed the accused persons Mallick and Rath while they were accepting the bribe amount from the complainant.
The entire bribe amount after recovery from the possession of both Mallick and Rath has been seized.
Following the trap, Vigilance has launched simultaneous searches at one location of each of the accused persons from the disproportionate assets angle.
