Bhubaneswar: A 30-year-old youth is said to have died due to sunstroke in Bolangir town on Saturday.
Trinath Bakul (30) of Khujenpalli in Bolangir fell sick while he was returning home after finishing his shopping. His family members immediately admitted him to Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
His family members alleged that he died due to sunstroke even though the district health officials have not confirmed the incident. Sadar police seized the body for post-mortem.

The maximum temperature today crossed 40 degrees C in Bolangir. Similarly, three other towns in the State also witnessed severe heatwave with the mercury hitting above 40 degrees C. Malkangiri emerged as the hottest place at 41 degrees C temperature.
The IMD has forecasted the temperature is likely to hover around 40 in the next four to five days.
