Bhubaneswar: After two days of intense heat, parts of Odisha are likely to experience a decrease in the mercury level due to a cyclonic circulation over Chhattisgarh and neighbourhood.
Under its influence, many parts of Odisha including twin city Bhubaneswar and Cuttack witnessed cloudy weather in the morning.
Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, predicted thunderstorms with lightning and light to moderate rain in some parts Deogarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Khordha and Puri within next three hours.
People are advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places.
On Saturday, five places in the State experienced severe heat waves as the mercury crossed 40 degrees C. Malkangiri simmered at 41 degrees C.
