Miscreants Decamp With Rs 14L & SUV from Dhenkanal’s Market

Dhenkanal: Miscreants blank-fired and hurled bombs before decamping with Rs 14 lakh and an SUV from the weekly market of Jirala under Kamakhyanagar police limits on Friday morning.

According to sources, a few traders had come to the weekly market in a Bolero from Badasahi of Mayurbhanj district. The traders went into the market to buy something while the driver among the two was there inside the SUV.  As many as five bike-borne miscreants reached the spot and started firing in the blank and hurled bombs to scare people. Later, the miscreants are reported to have fled with the SUV in which the traders have kept Rs 14 lakh.

Based on a complaint filed by traders, Kamakhyanagar Police registered a case in this connection and launched a manhunt to catch the miscreants.
