Bhubaneswar: In a major setback to the State unit of BJP, party vice-president Lekhasri Samantsinghar today resigned from the primary membership of the party.
She sent her hand-written resignation letter to the State president Manmohan Samal. She also posted the letter on her ‘X’ handle.
“I feel there is nothing left for me to do here and my desire to serve the people of Odisha is being hampered. I hereby resigned from the primary membership of the BJP with immediate effect”, the letter read.
She mentioned in the letter that she could not earn trust of the leadership despite her sincerity and hard work.
The woman leader thanked the saffron party for giving her an opportunity to work.
Samantsinghar had been associated with the BJP for the last ten years.
