Malkangiri: Students of Malkangiri’s Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya-I have made a novel attempt to sensitize people on the importance of voting.
As many as 300 students of the school have written letters to their parents on the importance of casting their votes in the upcoming General and Assembly elections.
On Saturday, in an event organized at the conference hall of the Samagra Sikshya Aviyaan in the presence of District Education Officer (DEO) Biswanath Sahu 300 students of the school wrote letters to their parents on how every eligible individual can cast their votes as per their choice in the upcoming 2024 General and Assembly elections.
Principal of the school C Sivram, Convenor and Secretary of District Youth Red Cross dr Ranjan Kumar Swain, and Art teacher Minakshi Panda were also present.
The DEO and Principal encouraged the students and praised them for their efforts.
Accompanied by the school’s Principal and other teachers’ students today came to the post office to drop the postcards in the letter box.
