Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MP from Berhampur Chandrasekhar Sahu has been admitted to a private hospital here. Sahu was hospitalised following his developing cardiac issues.
Chairman of 5T and ‘Nabin Odisha’ VK Pandian visited Sahu at the hospital and inquired about his health from the attending doctors.
During the visit, Pandian was accompanied by Rajya Sabha members Manas Ranjan Mangaraj and Sasmit Patra, and MLA Bhubaneswar (North) Susant Rout.
“His health condition is stable now. Certain medical examinations have been completed. According to the doctors he is under observation and medication. Any further examination if required shall be done,” informed Rajya Sabha member Sasmit Patra.
According to hospital sources, Sahu is likely to be discharged within a day or two.
Sahu was appointed as Chairman of the 38-member manifesto committee of the BJD by the party’s president Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday.
The 38-member committee headed by Sahu has been tasked to formulate the manifesto of the BJD for the 2024 elections.
The committee will also seek public suggestions for preparing the manifesto.
