Bhubaneswar: With Bhadrak district soaking in Ram Navami celebrations, the district administration and police have made elaborate security arrangements for the smooth conduct of the festival.
According to sources, police platoons have been deployed to ensure law and order during the procession in the communally sensitive town. Also, drone cameras have been kept ready to keep a vigil and prevent any untoward incident during the procession. At the same time, CCTV cameras have been installed at various places to keep a tab on the processions.
Police have also kept a close eye on social media to track down sensitive posts and conducted flag marches at various places in Bhadrak. That’s not all. Police have intensified patrolling and carried out checking at various places to ward off trouble.
It is learnt that Nagara Sankirtana will also be taken out in Bhadrak at 4 pm to mark Ram Navami celebrations while over 82 tableaus from various areas will move around the town amid tight security.
Cultural committees from Bankasahi, Jagnnathpur, Bagurai, Januganj, Karigharia, Kuansa, Mathasahi, Charampa, Gabasahi, Garadapur, Bhadrakalisahi, Bentala, Arei, Patanasahi, Samaraipur, Jalanga and Ichhapur will participate in the procession with their tableaus.
Thousands of devotees from across the state throng the town to participate in the week-long Ram Navami celebrations and witness Akhand Mahayajna and other rituals of Lord Ram every year.
