Bhubaneswar: The nomination process for the second phase of elections in Odisha begins on Friday. Five Lok Sabha constituencies and 35 Assembly seats in the state will go to polls in Odisha in the second phase on May 20.
The Lok Sabha constituencies where polling will be held on May 20 include Bargarh, Bolangir, Sundargarh, Kandhamal, and Aska. Voting for 35 Assembly seats under these five Lok Sabha constituencies will also be held on May 20.
The last day for filing nomination papers for the second phase polls in Odisha is May 3, while the scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on May 4. The last date for withdrawal of nomination forms is May 6.
It is to be noted that the filing of nominations for first phase polls in the state ended on April 25. As per the Election Commission of India (ECI) notification issued earlier, the first phase polls in Odisha will take place for a total of four Lok Sabha – Kalahandi, Berhampur, Koraput, Nabarangpur – and 28 Assembly seats.
