Bhubaneswar: A man died after falling from an electric pole at Sradhapur village under Bhograi block in Balasore on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Dhananjay (45), a resident of Sradhapur.
According to sources, Dhananjay climbed up the electric pole to repair the loose wire. He was tightening the connection when he got electrocuted from the high-tension line passing from above and fell from the pole.
Villagers rushed him to Jaleswar Community Health Centre at Jaleswar where doctors declared him dead.
Upon being informed, police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem and registered an unnatural death case in this connection.
