Bhubaneswar: Former Ranpur MLA Rabinarayan Mohapatra resigned from primary membership of Biju Janata Dal on Friday.
Mohapatra resigned from the ruling party alleging conspiracy to debar him from the party, sources said.
Mohapatra sent his resignation letter to BJD Supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
He was elected from Ranpur assembly constituency in 2014 but had to make way for former MLA Satyanarayan Pradhan, who won the seat in 2009.
