Koraput: In a tragic incident, a minor girl went missing in the Machkund river near Lamtaput in Koraput district on Wednesday.
According to reports, four minor girls had gone to Khinmung bathing ghat of Machkund river to take a bath. Suddenly, while bathing one of the minor girl’s feet slipped. Seeing her drown, the other three minor girls tried to rescue her but failed. These girls informed the villagers.
The villagers with the help of Fire Service personnel and police launched a search to trace the missing girl. However, she remained untraceable till reports last came in.
