Bhubaneswar: The Odisha wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has recently expelled as many as 12 party workers from the party for their anti-party activities.
According to sources, Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal took action against them for filing the nomination papers to contest the upcoming election as independent candidates against party candidates.
Going by a press release Party’s State General Secretary Manas Kumar Mohanty, Sadhna Pandey of Jharsuguda, Mahagadadebi Koili Bhagat of Biramitrapur, Nihar Ray of Rourkela, Ashraya Mahananda of Birmaharajpur, Tikeswar Kahanra of Phulbani, Sudhansu Danga of Kantamal, Rabindra Sethi of Daspalla, Indumati Nayak of Daspalla, Siba Sankar Dash of Berhampur, Manoj Pattanaik of Berhampur, Bhagirathi Patnia of Koraput and Karpur Hantal of Koraput have been suspended for anti-party activities.
