Bhubaneswar: BJD leader Karthik Pandian today fired a salvo at the BJP while addressing multiple public meetings in Sundergarh district and seeking votes for his party candidates.

Pandian has canvassed today in Raghunathpalli, Biramitrapur and Bonai assembly constituencies seeking votes for MP candidate Dilip Tirky and Raghunathpalli MLA candidate Archana Rekha Behera, Biramitrpur candidate MLA Rohit Joseph Tirky and Bonai Assembly candidate Bhimsen Chowdhury.

Slamming Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Pandian said that PM Modi can’t not make Gujarat a No 1 state during his tenure as CM. How many States having double-engine government became No 1, he asked.

Malnutrition is 40 per cent in Gujarat while Odisha has only 29 per cent, Pandian said.

In the reduction of anaemia, Odisha has performed better than Gujarat. Gujarat has higher per capita debt than Odisha, Panidan pointed out.

In Odisha, students are using digital boards in all high schools, while in Gujarat even today students writing on blackboards, he added.

“Make India No 1 if you can. Naveen Babu is enough to make Odisha a No 1 State,” he said.

Pandian further outlined that Odisha ranks first in the world in disaster management. Odisha is leading in women empowerment, he said.

Modi can’t recall his promise of hiking paddy MSP in last ten year. Predicting poll debacle, he has raised the MSP matter again,” the 5T chairman criticised.

The Chief Minister remembers his promises made for the people well and fulfills them sincerely, Pandian added.

Hitting out at the PM Modi, the 5T chairman said that Cuttack-Sambalpur NH 55 could not be completed in 10 years. But Naveen Babu has completed the Biju Expressway in just 3 years, Panian maintained.

Explaining the BJD’s manifesto of free electricity, Pandian said that the opposition must have received a shock hearing the BJD’s promises in the manifesto.
