Bhubaneswar: The BJP national president who is on a two-day election campaigning in Odisha held a roadshow from the Mausima Square to Lingaraj temple in Bhubaneswar on Thursday morning. He was accompanied by the party’s Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha candidate Aparajita Sarangi and Bhubaneswar-Ekamra Assembly constituency nominee Babu Singh.
Addressing the gathering at the roadshow, the BJP chief said, “People in Odisha have decided to allow some rest to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and allow the BJP to form the next government in Odisha.”
“We are confident of winning the Assembly election in Odisha and freeing the people of the state from bureaucratic shackles. Odisha now wants a new, young, and dynamic Chief Minister who will work to improve their lives. The BJP will fulfill their aspirations,” Nadda said.
Exuding confidence that the BJP will win all the 21 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha, Nadda said, “People here have decided to vote for the BJP and help Prime Narendra Modi to return to power at the Centre for the third time. We will have a double-engine government in Odisha this time.”
At the same time, the BJP president said that his party would initiate strong actions against all government employees who would be found working for the regional party in the twin elections. “It is a matter of a few days and we will take stringent actions against government staff favouring the BJD in the elections violating the model code of conduct.”
