Bhubaneswar: Odisha recorded 35.69 % voter turnout till 1 pm in the polling for six Lok Sabha constituencies and 42 Assembly segments on Saturday, according to the Voter Turnout application.
Voting started at 7 am in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, Sambalpur, Dhenkanal and Keonjhar Parliamentary constituencies along with 42 assembly segments within the jurisdiction of these Lok Sabha seats.
Based on the app’s data, among the parliamentary constituencies, Sambalpur showed the highest turnout at a remarkable 38.13 % while Bhubaneswar recorded the lowest 33.01 % voter turnout till 1 pm.
The Parliamentary Constituency-wise approximate voter turnout is as follows: Bhubaneswar 33.01%, Cuttack 34.40%, Dhenkanal 36.00%, Keonjhar 35.63%, Puri 37.26% and Sambalpur 38.13%.
Among the Assembly constituencies, Kuchinda recorded 45.72 % voting till 1 pm whereas Bhubaneswar Central recorded the lowest 23.15 % voting till 1 pm.
