Bhubaneswar: Two persons died in two separate road mishaps in Nuapada and Subarnapur districts, on Tuesday.
In Nuapada, a truck driver identified as Tirupati Singh was killed due to a head-on collision between two trucks near Ambera Chhak on the Biju Expressway under Boden police station in Nuapada district.
Upon being informed, Boden fire brigade officials and Boden police seized the body and sent it for post-mortem.
In another mishap, a person died after meeting with a road mishap when he was on his way home near Sahajabahal village under Binika police limits in Subarnapur district, on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Kabiraj Podha (46).
The accident took place when he was returning from his daughter’s house after gifting her saree and other puja ingredients meant for Savitri puja. He lost his balance over the vehicle and fell on the road which led to his death.
Police, meanwhile, sent the body for post-mortem after seizing it.
