Bhubaneswar: After a month-long hectic schedule of election campaigning, Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik relaxed himself and spent his lighter moment purchasing a few books at a bookstore in Master Canteen Square in Bhubaneswar on Thursday evening.
Patnaik accompanied by 5T chairman Karthik Pandian visited the Modern Book Depot at Master canteen and purchased a book on Similipal forest and some other international level books.
“After the elections and all the campaigning, I have come to relax at a bookshop in Bhubaneswar and buy a couple of books,” Patnaik told reporters.
He bought a book titled ‘The Secret Of Similipal’ written by Debabrata Swain.
Local people also gathered at the bookshop when the CM entered the outlet. Some were seen taking selfies with the CM. A small girl was the centre of attraction when she took a selfie. The CM also adorably gave a pose for the photograph with the baby.
The bookshop owner and employees also spent a little time in gossiping with Patnaik.
It is worth mentioning that CM Naveen Patnaik is an avid reader. He also loves to write. The Garden of Life, A Second Paradise, A Desert Kingdom are some of his contributions to the literary world.
Om Prakash, the owner of the Modern Book depot said that Biju Babu had also visited his shop and now his son Naveen Babu came.
“Naveen Babu said that his relaxation is books. He purchased books of Rs 2500. He asked us to show him some history books and I showed him. He also searched for some of his own favourite books,” Omm Prakash said.
