Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik changed his social media profile on Wednesday ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of the first BJP government in Odisha.

Naveen changed his social media profile from Chief Minister of Odisha to BJD president.

Naveen Patnaik’s BJD suffered a shock defeat at the hands of the opposition BJP, which won 78 of the 147 Assembly seats and 20 of the 21 Lok Sabha constituencies in Odisha in the recently held General Elections. Even Naveen suffered the first electoral defeat of his political career when he lost the Kantabanji Assembly seat to BJP’s Laxman Bag. He had won every election contested since 1998.
