Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu on Friday extended her heartfelt wishes on the occasion of Raja festival which began on Friday.
Apart from the President, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik conveyed their wishes to all Odias on the occasion of the Raja festival.
Taking to Twitter, the President of India wrote: “My sincere greetings to my dear countrymen on the occasion of Raja. The people of Odisha celebrate this festival with sweets, cakes and paan. On the occasion of this agricultural Raja festival, I wish happiness, peace and prosperity to the people of the state and country.”
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi wrote: “Greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of Pahili Raja.”
Extending his wishes on the occasion of Raja festival on Friday, former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik wrote “Heartiest greetings and congratulations to all on the occasion of Raja. May this Raja festival fill everyone’s life with joy and happiness.”
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan took to Twitter to wish every Odia and wrote: “Best wishes for Raja, the agricultural festival of Odisha. Raja is the unique identity of our Odia Asmita. It’s a unique tradition of worshipping and honouring nature, goddesses and women. I hope this great tradition of connecting with nature further strengthens the brotherhood in society.”
