Bhubaneswar: As many as 19 districts of Odisha are likely to witness rain or thundershower with lightning during the next three hours.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershower with lightning is likely to affect some parts of districts of Ganjam, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Khordha, Puri, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Boudh, Rayagada, Koraput, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Keonjhar and Kandhamal within the next three hours,” stated a nowcast warning issued by the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here at 4.20 PM.
While issuing a ‘Yellow’ alert for these districts, the weather agency has advised people to keep a watch on the weather and move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
