Man Sets His Father On Fire Over Land Dispute In Bolangir

Bhubaneswar: A person allegedly set his father afire over land dispute at Dorlo village under Titlagargh police limits in Bolangir district on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Gopinath Bharasagar.

His son Mohan Bharasagar is reported to have absconded after committing the crime.

According to sources, Mohan and his father were at loggerheads over a land dispute. They had a heated conversation following which Mohan brought a petrol container and poured it on his father before setting him afire.

Upon being informed by villagers, police rushed to the spot and seized the charred body.

The body has been sent for post-mortem and a manhunt has been launched to arrest Mohan, said sources.
