Bhubaneswar: An Assistant Section Officer (ASO) working in Lok Seva Bhavan was found hanging inside his rented house at Acharya Vihar in Bhubaneswar.
The deceased officer identified as Mora Marandi is ASO of 2024 batch in the Steel and Mines Department. It is suspected that he committed suicide. The circumstance that led him to commit suicide is being investigated.
On Thursday morning, his family members called him over the phone which was not reachable. Later, the family members called Mora’s friends and requested them to meet him. His friends went to the house of Mora and found him hanging from the ceiling of the house.
They immediately informed the police. The police reached the spot and recovered the body before sending it to Capital Hospital for autopsy.
Mora’s family and friends alleged that he was under severe mental pressure which forced him to take the extreme step.
