Bhubaneswar: The Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) Department of the Odisha Government has formed a committee to examine and identify essential course books for MBBS education required to be translated into Odia language.
“In view of the mandate to provide medical education in Odia language in the State, a committee as detailed below is hereby constituted to examine the matter, identify the essential course books for MBBS education required to be translated into Odia language, and workout timelines and budget requirement for undertaking this task,” reads an office order issued by the H&FW department on Thursday.
The letter has asked the Committee to assess the volume of works to be taken up for the purpose and the timeline required for the purpose and the timeline required for getting the work done.
The letter has further asked the Committee to submit its proposal to the H&FW department within 15 days for taking further action in the matter.
The Committee has 22 members including a Chairman and Member-Convener.
