Bhubaneswar: Doordarshan Kendra, Bhubaneswar has arranged for a direct telecast of the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath and His siblings on July 7 with the cooperation of the Information & Public Relations Department of the Odisha Government.
According to an official press release, high-quality modern broadcast equipment will be used for uninterrupted telecast of high-resolution pictures. Viewers apart from watching every moment of the event live will also feel the emotions.
Experts and eminent commentators will present the audience with theoretical and analytical details on Odisha’s Jagannath culture.
Commentators especially, Dr Krushna Keshav Sarangi, Dr Mrutanjay Rath, Padmanav Tripathy, Pt Matruprasad Mishra, Kalyani Nandi, etc will enthral the audience with their commentary and spiritual analysis.
Direct telecast on DD Odia will start from 9 am on July 7th and DD Bharti will broadcast in Hindi, English and Sanskrit languages from 10 am.
The broadcast will be available via live streaming on DD Odia and DD National YouTube channels from 9 am onwards. As per rituals Lord Jagannath’s Rath Yatra will be held for two days this time pulling of chariots will be live telecasted on July 8th.
As the official broadcaster of the state government, apart from Rath Yatra, direct telecast of other rituals of Mahaprabhu such as Adapa Mandap Bije on July 9th, Bahuda Yatra on July 15th, Sunabesh, Adharpana and Niladri Bije on the 16th, 17th and 18th of July respectively have been arranged by Doordarshan Kendra, Bhubaneswar.
