Bargarh: Police on Saturday seized 560 bottles of banned Corex cough syrup, 1400 vials of injectible sedatives and 220 strips of sedative tablets during a surprise raid at a house in Malpada area under Town police limits in the district headquarters town of Bargarh.
Police have arrested the house owner identified as Bulu Sahu. According to the police, he was earlier arrested for a similar offence.
“Today we have seized Corex, injections and nitrosun tablets. Earlier too he was arrested and forwarded to court,” informed Satyajit Kandelkar, IIC, Bargarh Town Police Station briefing reporters after the raid.
The raid was conducted in the presence of Additional Tahasildar Dibakar Pradhan.
