Miscreants Decamp With Jewellery Worth Rs 7 Lakh In Ganjam

Bhubaneswar: Miscreants decamped with a jewellery bag after breaking open a bike dickey when a businessman was busy eating at a roadside eatery at Narendrapur Square under Chamakhandi police station in Ganjam district on Wednesday.

Jewellery merchants have filed a complaint with Chamakhandi police in this regard.

According to sources, the jewellery merchant was eating at a roadside eatery after parking his bike on the roadside. The miscreants are reported to have broken open the bike dickey and fled the scene with the jewellery bag. After eating, the jewellery merchant found his dickey open and the jewellery missing.

Based on the complaint, police checked CCTV cameras. During CCTV camera checking, it came to the fore that miscreants had fled with the bag containing jewellery worth 7 lakh.

Based on CCTV footage, police have begun an investigation into it.
