Mathili (Malkangiri): Diahorrea outbreak has been reported from Madi Sahi of Kopra village in Kartanpalli panchayat under Mathili block in Malkangiri district.
As many as seven persons of the 12 reported to be suffering from diarrhoea have been admitted to the Sub Divisional Hospital (SDH) here.
“Seven persons of Kopra village have been admitted to the SDH here for diarrhoea. We suspect that they have been afflicted by drinking contaminated water from the tubewell. There is no other source like they haven’t taken any poisonous food or have taken part in a feast. Seven have been admitted. Already, our two teams have reached the village. We will provide them with requisite treatment and shift them to hospital,” informed Dr Amiya Kumar Swain, Medical Officer, Sub Divisional Hospital, Mathili.
