Bhubaneswar: The Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri will have restricted entry starting from 8 a.m tomorrow, as the inner chamber of the Ratna Bhandar is set to be reopened between 9:51 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.
Only authorized servitors will be allowed to enter the temple complex to perform rituals, while the general public will be restricted from entering the temple. All the doors except Singhadwar will remain shut, SJTA Chief Administrator Arabinda Kumar Padhee said.
The high-level 11-member committee will enter the treasure trove, accompanied by a medical team, snake helpline, and volunteers. Puri SP will conduct security checks on all individuals before allowing them to enter the shrine.
According to SJTA Chief Administrator, ornaments will be transferred from the inner Ratna Bhandar to a temporary strong room, after which the strong room will be sealed. The keys to the Ratna Bhandar, except for the outer chamber, will be sent to the district treasury.
Following the transfer of valuables, the ASI will carry out conservation work inside the inner chamber. The temple administration has assured that all necessary protocols will be followed to ensure the safety and security of the devotees.
