Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has issued a notification effective July 18, 2024, increasing the minimum wages for workers in the state.
The daily minimum wages of unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled and highly skilled workers employed in scheduled occupations have been increased to Rs 450, Rs 500, Rs 550 and Rs 600 respectively.
This decision was approved by the State Cabinet on July 10, 2024, and is in accordance with the Minimum Wages Act, 1948.
The increased wages will benefit workers employed in scheduled occupations across the state.
