Heavy Rain Spell To Continue In Odisha Till July 27

Bhubaneswar: Heavy rainfall is likely to lash most parts of Odisha till 27 July, the midday weather bulletin of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) bulletin released on Monday said.

The weather agency has issued a ‘yellow’ alert for the districts likely to witness heavy rainfall.

Here’s IMD’s weather forecast and warning for the districts of Odisha:

Day 1 (Valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 23.07.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha.

Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy Rainfall(7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Bolangir, Mayurbhanj, Sonepur, Boudh, Nayagarh, Puri, Khurda, and Bargarh.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 23.07.2024to 0830 hrs IST of 24.07.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of North Odisha and at many places over the districts of South Odisha.

Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Boudh, Sonepur, Sambalpur and Heavy Rainfall(7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Nayagarh, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, and Kendrapara.

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 24.07.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 25.07.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of North Odisha and at many places over the districts of South Odisha.

Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kendrapara, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul and Heavy Rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Sambalpur, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar.

Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 25.07.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 26.07.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha.

Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy Rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri.

Day 5 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 26.07.2024to 0830 hrs IST of 27.07.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha.

Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy Rainfall(7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, and Jharsuguda.

Day 6 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 27.07.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 28.07.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha.

Day 7 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 28.07.2024to 0830 hrs IST of 29.07.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha.
